Bay of The Holy Spirit | Week 3 | Day of the Holy Spirit

Two things happen when you give your life to Jesus:

  • You’re adopted into the Family of God.

 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. ~Romans 8:15-17 NKJV

  • You are enlisted in the ranks of The Lord’s governing body.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” ~Matthew 16:15-19 NKJV

Ekklessia: Legislative, judicial, and governing body.

The Ekklesia is entrusted with Kingdom authority to decree Heaven’s will on earth.

Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? ~1 Corinthians 6:2-3

Warfare shifted from the physical in the Old Testament to spiritual in the New Testament.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. ~2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

  • Spiritual Influence: characteristics – arguments of the high thing 
    • Entice you
    • Deceive
    • Accusation
    • Enslave
    • Torment
    • Drive
    • Destruction

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. ~John 10:10 NKJV

  • Mindset: the enemies lies are based in human reason
    • Introduce Lies
    • Shape Perception
    • Emotions Attached
    • Belief
    • Actions
    • Shapes the Identity
  • System: characteristics – punishing the acts of disobedience
    • Protects The Mindset That Birthed It
    • Builds Habitual Cycles
    • Self Perpetuating Nature
    • Invisible
    • Always show the fruit of where it came from

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. ~Galatians 5:22-24 NKJV

God has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.  ~2 Corinthians 5:18-19 NKJV
